General

Unless otherwise stated, the artist retains full copyright on all artwork produced, including prints.

Privacy Policy

I will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties. You are free to unsubscribe from my email list at any time.

Payment Processing

This website uses Stripe to process payments. Carol Frances Art will not collect or store your information.

Delivery

Regrettably I can currently only send to the UK. Delivery is free via tracked Royal Mail delivery service for botanical paintings and via second class postage for cards. There will be a charge of £7.50 for artwork of £50 and over.

When you place an order through my online shop you will receive an automated email order acknowledgement. I will aim to despatch the item within 2 working days of receipt of the order. Please ensure that you have provided the correct delivery address as no responsibility will be taken for missing or delayed deliveries due to incorrect information. When I have posted the item, you will receive a second email, together with a tracking number (if applicable).

Returns (non-commissioned art)

I really hope you’re completely happy with your purchase but if you’re not, please let me know by email within 14 days of receipt. The item must be returned in suitably protective packaging within 28 days of receipt, and in a saleable condition. Unfortunately, I cannot consider a claim for returned goods lost in transit without proof of posting and for your peace of mind, I would advise you to return the item via a signed for service. Once I have received the item and checked it, I will process your refund and will advise you accordingly. Return postage will be at your expense.

If the item is damaged in transit please send photos of the damage to info@carolfrancesart.co.uk together with a clear description of the damage sustained (I will need this to send to Royal Mail in support of my claim for compensation). I will normally ask for the damaged item to be returned and will refund the cost of return postage once I have received the returned item.

Undelivered Items

All items will be sent via a tracked delivery service. However, I realise that very occasionally, items fail to reach their destination. If you have not received the item within 3 days, please double check that you provided the correct delivery address first and then email info@carolfrancesart.co.uk. I will need to raise the issue with Royal Mail and will come back to you via email with the outcome.

Terms & Conditions – Pet Portrait Commissions

Copyright

The artist retains full copyright on all artwork produced, including prints. As the artist, I reserve the right to display the completed portrait on my website and on my social media pages. If you do not wish your commissioned portrait to be shown online, please notify me before work commences. Whilst I retain the full copyright on the artwork and prints, I will not use your commissioned portrait to print from for merchandise (ie, for greetings cards etc).

Payment

A booking fee of 50% of the portrait cost will secure a slot in my diary. I will notify you one week before starting the portrait, at which time the booking fee becomes non-refundable. You may cancel at this point and I will issue a refund, less 10% of the booking fee.

On completion (and before the portrait is sent) the balance will be due, including postage (see below regarding alterations).

Cancellation

If you decide to cancel the commission after the work has started, you are free to do so and no further payment will be required. There will be no refund of the booking fee and I may complete the portrait and sell the portrait via my website or art event as recompense for my time spent on the portrait.

Delivery

All orders are sent via a tracked delivery service to the address you provide (I will provide tracking details).

Damage in Transit

Your portrait will be well packaged and I hope it reaches you in perfect condition. If, in the unlikely event that damage occurs during transit, please send a photo of the damaged packaging, together with a photo of the damaged artwork immediately. Depending on the extent of the damage, the portrait may need to be returned to me and a new portrait will be drawn at no extra cost. The new portrait will be added to my waiting list.
